Weather

DMAC flies on the shores of the Dee estuary. The site is well away from any habitation and is flat and well drained so, subject to the weather, we can fly all year round. The problem is a micro-climate that the Met Office often gets wrong. Our membership is scattered over a wide area so an accurate picture of the exact weather conditions at the flying site is useful to avoid wasted journeys. To address this, the club has set up its own weather station with a link via the internet to Weather Underground where anyone with a web browser can see the current conditions.

In the event that our own weather station is offfline, you can access the weather station at the Shotwick Sailing Club by clicking HERE.
